Creativity Isn’t Optional
Creativity Isn’t Optional.
It’s the Operating System of Progress.
There’s a common misconception about creativity. Too often, the word conjures up images of fingerpainting, improv games, or vision boards taped to the wall of a retreat center. And while those may have their place, they don’t even scratch the surface.
The truth is far more serious—and far more powerful.
Creativity is the fundamental human activity.
Not a luxury. Not a personality trait. Not something reserved for artists. It’s the deliberate capacity to generate meaningful, novel, and useful outcomes. It’s what drives evolution, entrepreneurship, and every leap forward we’ve ever made as a species.
In the world of IT entrepreneurship, where complexity and competition are relentless, creativity isn’t just helpful—it’s survival. It’s the source code behind strategy, differentiation, and adaptation. It’s what lets founders build something no one else could, and what helps teams solve problems no one else has faced before.
That’s why I launched Onion Duty Enterprises—a consulting practice grounded in the principle that creativity is not soft. It’s essential.
My work is built around The Mighty C, a fractal model of creativity that’s deliberate, repeatable, and actionable across scale. Whether I’m working with a solo founder, a five-person startup, or a university innovation lab, I help people build clarity, generate bold ideas, and move forward with purpose.
We offer three distinct paths:
Innovation Workshops that train teams to solve real challenges creatively
Profit Acceleration Consulting that sharpens operations and identifies scalable wins
Synergy Sessions—15- or 30-minute conversations to explore fit and possibilities
And now, as summer kicks in, we’re launching public sessions of The Mighty C Workshop, including a Pilot Workshop on June 18. (Seats are limited—learn more here).
If you’re in IT, entrepreneurship, education, or just trying to make something meaningful out of your work, you’re already in the creativity business. I’d love to help you do it more deliberately.
This blog is the beginning of a conversation. I’ll be sharing stories, methods, prompts, and provocations in the weeks ahead—based on real-world experience and grounded in both science and strategy. Feel free to follow along, join the dialogue, and get in touch.
Let’s build something that matters.
Let’s get to work.

Blog Post Title Two
It all begins with an idea.
It all begins with an idea. Maybe you want to launch a business. Maybe you want to turn a hobby into something more. Or maybe you have a creative project to share with the world. Whatever it is, the way you tell your story online can make all the difference.
Don’t worry about sounding professional. Sound like you. There are over 1.5 billion websites out there, but your story is what’s going to separate this one from the rest. If you read the words back and don’t hear your own voice in your head, that’s a good sign you still have more work to do.
Be clear, be confident and don’t overthink it. The beauty of your story is that it’s going to continue to evolve and your site can evolve with it. Your goal should be to make it feel right for right now. Later will take care of itself. It always does.
